Setting up your website email on smartphones and computers

If Cyberfrog Design are providing your website emails you may want to set them up on your phone or an email client, e.g. Outlook, Windows Mail, Thunderbird (download Thunderbird), on your PC*.

You will need the email address that was created for you and the password. These will have been sent to you. To set them up follow these instructions:

Windows PC/laptop

1. Open the email program you will be using and select ‘Add Account’ (or similar).

2. Follow the onscreen instructions selecting IMAP (not POP3) and put these details in the required fields:

  • Email address
  • Password
  • Your username is your FULL email address
  • Set incoming and outgoing server to mail.yourwebsite.co.uk
  • Make sure you tick the SSL box for ‘Requires Aunthentication’.

3. That’s it.

Android Smartphones

1. Go to your email settings and select ‘Add Account’ (or similar).

2. Follow the onscreen instructions selecting IMAP (not POP3) and put these details in the required fields:

  • Email address
  • Password
  • Your username is your FULL email address
  • Set incoming and outgoing server to mail.yourwebsite.co.uk
  • Make sure you tick the SSL box for ‘Requires Aunthentication’.

3. That’s it.

iPhones, iPads & Macs

Apple devices can be a little moody to set up. The easiest way is to contact us and we will send you an automatic configuration file. This is a one click install and we will explain what to do with it when you get in touch.

Webmail

Your website email also comes with free webmail which you can access to send, receive and read emails from any device. To access your website email follow these instructions: Accessing your website email online

*PLEASE NOTE that due to the vast range of devices, operating systems and email programs/clients available, we do not offer setting up of emails on clients’ devices as a service – this is an IT/tech matter and while we can provide basic help and advice in these troubleshooting articles we are not experts on all phones and computers and we therefore may not be able to fully diagnose why your device may not be sending or receiving mail if it is not working properly.
